The White Stripes
The White Stripes were an American rock, garage and blues lo-fi duo from Michigan formed in 1997, comprised of guiatarist and vocalist Jack White and drummer and vocalist Meg White (his ex-wife).
Their popularity continues despite their current hiatus, with key tracks such as "Death Letter", "Hotel Yorba", "Fell In Love With A Girl" (covered by Joss Stone), "Seven Nation Army", "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself"(cover), "My Doorbell" and "Rag and Bone".
They released their debut album, "The White Stripes" in 1999, followed by: "De Stijl" (2000), "White Blood Cells" (2001), "Elephant" (2003), "Get Behind Me Satan" (2005), plus 2007's: "Icky Thump".
