German electronic and progressive-rock band formed in 1971.

Key members include founders Michael Rother and the late Klaus Dinger (both ex-Kraftwerk) as well as Conny Plank, Thomas Dinger and Uli Trepte.

They have often been cited as an influence on Brian Eno, U2, Radiohead, Julian Cope, PiL and many more.

Conny Plank went on to form Cluster who went on to work with Harmonia and Brian Eno.
