[1930 - 2021] Chris Barber was an English Jazz trombonist from Hertfordshire who, with the Chris Barber Band, in 1959 released a version of Sidney Bechet's 'Petite Fleur'.

The track spent 24 weeks in the UK charts, peaking at No 3 and selling over one million copies.

Lonnie Donegan, the original skiffle megastar, was in the Chris Barber Band and Barber went on to perform and record with Donegan and many other top artists.
