Squeeze

English band formed in Deptford South East London in 1974, originally featuring Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook on guitars/ vocals, Jools Holland on keyboards and Paul Gunn on drums.

Hit songs include: "Cool for Cats", "Up the Junction", "Labelled with Love", "Tempted", "Black Coffee in Bed", and "Hourglass", among other familiar songs.

They released their debut eponymous album in 1978, followed by: "Cool for Cats" (1979), "Argybargy" (1980), "East Side Story" (1981), "Sweets from a Stranger" (1982), "Difford & Tilbrook" (1984), "Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti" (1985), "Babylon and On" (1987), "Frank" (1989), "Play" (1991), "Some Fantastic Place" (1993), "Ridiculous" (1995), "Domino" (1998), "Spot the Difference" (2010 - re-recording of old songs), "Cradle to the Grave" (2015 - their first album of new material since 1998), plus 2017's: "The Knowledge".

As of 2023, the band features the original pairing of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, with Stephen Large on keyboards, Simon Hanson on drums, Steve Smith on percussion, Melvin Duffy on pedal/ steel guitars and Owen Biddle on bass/ backing vocals.
