His work is a hybrid of classical, soundtrack, musique-concrete, techno and ambient and his work has arguably taken electronic music to new levels. Other nom-de-plumes include AFX, Blue Calx, Bradley Strider, Caustic Window, DJ Smojphace, GAK, Martin Tressider, Polygon Window, Power-Pill, Prichard D. Jams, Q-Chastic, Tahnaiya Russell and The Dice Man.

Key releases include: 'Analogue Bubblebath' (as AFX), 'Didgeridoo', 'Xylem Tube', 'Come To Daddy', 'Windowlicker' and 'Quoth' (as Polygon Window).

His 'Selected Ambient Works' series more or less shaped the early output of the Warp and R&S labels in the early 90s.
