Key members include Joel Madden - vocals, Benji Madden - guitar and vocals, Billy Martin - guitar and keyboards, Paul Thomas - bass and Dean Butterworth -drums.

Their first crossover hit was 2002's "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous". The band released their debut eponymous album in 2000, followed by "The Young and the Hopeless" (2002), "The Chronicles of Life and Death" (2004), "Good Morning Revival" (2007), "Cardiology" (2010), "Youth Authority" (2016) and 2018's: "Generation Rx".
