David Lee Roth
American rock singer, songwriter and actor, best known as the original lead singer of the southern California-based hard rock outfit Van Halen.
After leaving Van Halen in 1985, Roth's debut solo record was 1986's 'Eat 'Em and Smile', which reached No 4 in the US.
After a brief reunion in the 1990s, Roth returned to Van Halen in 2007.
