Sheffield-based band formed in 1978 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Jarvis Cocker.

The band reformed in 2010, featuring the original line-up: Nick Banks, Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber.

They released their debut album, "It" in 1983, followed by: "Freaks" (1987), "Separations" (1992), "His 'n' Hers" (1994), "Different Class" (1995), "This Is Hardcore" (1998), plus 2001's: "We Love Life". Familiar songs include: "Lipgloss", "Do You Remember the First Time?", "Common People", "Sorted for E's & Wizz", "Disco 2000" and "Help the Aged".
