Levellers
Brighton-based folk-punk-anarcho band formed in 1988.
Key members include Mark Chadwick - vocals, guitar and harmonica, Simon Friend - guitar, banjo, mandolin and vocals, Jeremy Cunningham - bass guitar and vocals, Jonathan Sevink - fiddle, Charlie Heather - drums and Matt Savage - keyboards.
They released their debut album, "A Weapon Called the Word" in 1990, followed by the seminal: "Levelling the Land" (1991, featuring the song, "One Way"), "Levellers" (1993), "Zeitgeist" (1995), "Mouth to Mouth" (1997), "Hello Pig" (2000), "Green Blade Rising" (2002), "Truth and Lies" (2005), "Letters from the Underground" (2008), "Static on the Airwaves" (2012), "We the Collective" (2018), "Peace" (2020), plus 2023's: "Together All the Way".
They chalked up numerous hits in the mid-90's including "Hope Street", "Julie", "15 Years", "Just The One" and "What A Beautiful Day".
