Pantera are an American metal band from Texas, featuring Phil Anselmo - vocals and Rex Brown - bass and backing vocals.
The band split in 2004 when guitarist, Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed on stage. Founder member, Vinnie Paul passed away in 2018.
The band announced a reunion in 2022, featuring Rex, Phil, plus Zakk Wylde and drummer, Charlie Benante.
Active between 1983 and 2003, they released their debut album, "Metal Magic" in 1983, followed by: "Projects in the Jungle" (1984), "I Am the Night" (1985), "Power Metal" (1988), "Cowboys from Hell" (1990), "Vulgar Display of Power" (1992), "Far Beyond Driven" (1994), "The Great Southern Trendkill" (1996), plus 2000's: "Reinventing the Steel".
