John McLaughlin

English guitarist and composer, whose music encompasses jazz-rock, fusion and world.

He has played as part of Tony Williams' group 'Lifetime' as well as on Miles Davis' 'Bitches Brew' and his own 70s band 'The Mahavishnu Orchestra', Shakti and John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension.

He released his debut album, "Extrapolation" in 1969, followed by: "Devotion" (1970), "My Goal's Beyond" (1971), "Electric Guitarist" (1978), "Electric Dreams" (1979), "Belo Horizonte" (1981), "Music Spoken Here" (1982), "Que Alegria" (1992), "Time Remembered: John McLaughlin Plays Bill Evans" (1993), "After the Rain" (1994), "The Promise" (1995), "The Heart of Things" (1997), "Thieves and Poets" (2003), "Industrial Zen" (2006), "Floating Point" (2008), "To the One" (2010), "Now Here This" (2012), "Black Light" (2015), plus 2017's: "Live at Ronnie Scott's".
