Rock and electronica musician, producer and Grammy-winner (for work on Wilco's "A Ghost Is Born" in 2004).

Solo works started with 1989's "Some Kind Of Pagan" and continued with releases on Drag City throughout the 90s. He joined Sonic Youth for four years in 2001.

He was a music consultant on the film "School Of Rock".
