Scottish composer and songwriter who rose to prominence with soundtracks to "Romeo and Juliet", "Moulin Rouge" and "The Bone Collector".

He had a brief dabble with pop and rock ensemble, The Big Dish on albums "Creeping Up On Jesus" and "Satellites" during 1988-91 before releasing his own solo albums in the 90s, most notably "The Space Between Us" and "As If To Nothing".

He has added strings and orchestral arrangements to much of Massive Attack's output since their beginnings.
