British pop/soul singer, songwriter and musician from Croydon.

Initially a member of indie-pop band Thieves, he opted to go solo in the mid-'90s.

Releases include "The Sound of McAlmont and Butler", "Bring It Back" (with Butler) and "The Glare" (with Michael Nyman).

In 2011 he formed Fingersnap with Guy Davies.
