[1941 - 2016] Dave Swarbrick was an award-winning and influential English folk musician, singer and songwriter who played violin, viola, mandolin and guitar.

As well as solo work, he collaborated on many releases with Martin Carthy and had been a contributor to Fairport Convention's key album, "Liege and Lief".

His solo albums include his self-titled debut, "Lift The Lid and Listen" and "Flittin'", as well as collaborative sets with Simon Nicol, Richard Thompson, Sandy Denny, Martin Carthy, Ian Campbell and Ewan MacColl.
