Soundgarden are a Seattle-based US grunge-rock band founded in 1984, formerly fronted by the late Chris Cornell, plus Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd. After splitting in 1997, the band regrouped in 2010.

Their key albums include "Ultramega OK", "Badmotorfinger" and "Superunknown".
