Sophie B Hawkins is American singer-songwriter, and musician, Sophie Ballantine Hawkins who had a hit with the 1992 song: "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover", taken from that year's platinum-selling debut album, "Tongues and Tails".

She released follow-up album, "Whaler" in 1994, plus "Timbre" (1999), "Wilderness" (2004), "The Crossing" (2012), and 2023's: "Free Myself".
