[1957 - 2017] Geri Allen was an American jazz composer and pianist, active since the '80s.

She collaborated with the likes of Betty Carter, Ornette Coleman, Charlie Haden, Charles Lloyd, Paul Motian and more.

Her own work includes "The Printmakers", "Segments", "Eyes in the Back of Your Head", "A Child Is Born" and "Grand River Crossings" among others.
