Julian Argüelles

Julian Argüelles is a multi award-winning, Birmingham-born saxophonist who began his career with the acclaimed UK-based jazz-ensemble Loose Tubes in the mid 80s.

He has worked with a considerable array of jazz musicians including Steve Swallow, John Abercrombie and Peter Erskine, as well as being a member of several contemporary big-bands headed up by Kenny Wheeler, Colin Towns and Django Bates.

He released his debut album, "Phaedrus" in 1991, followed by: "Home Truths" (1995), "Scapes" (1996), "Skull View" (1997), "Escapade" (1999), "As Above So Below" (2003), "Partita" (2006), "Momenta" (2009), "Inner Voices" (2009), "Ground Rush" (2010), "Circularity" (2014), "Tetra" (2015), "Let It Be Told" (2015), "Setembro" (2017), plus 2018's: "Tonadas".
