American producer, musician and record-label owner. His own style of music ranges from funk to free-jazz with strong African and hip-hop influences.

He founded the Celluloid and Axiom labels and issued/produced releases by Material, Afrika Bambaataa, Golden Palominos, Ginger Baker, Sly & Robbie, Jah Wobble and Buckethead.

His own solo releases include "Baselines", "Middle Passages" and "Oscillations", as well as authorised remix projects of Bob Marley and Miles Davis works.
