[1942 - 2016] Leon Russell was an American roots and country singer-songwriter who plays guitar, hammond and keyboards.

He originally began recording in the 60s with Midnight String Quartet and continued sessioning and writing until 1972's hit "Tightrope".

His biggest success was with Willie Nelson in 1978, entitled "One For The Road".
