The Libertines

Influential London-based indie band formed in 1997.

Key members include: Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell.

Prior to the band imploding in 2004 under the strain of Doherty's personal issues, the band delivered typically English rock n roll via the albums 'Up The Bracket' (produced by The Clash's Mick Jones) and 'The Libertines'.

Key songs include: 'Can't Stand Me Now', 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun' and 'Time For Heroes'.

The band reformed in 2010, releasing their third album, "Anthems for Doomed Youth" in 2015, featuring the single "Gunga Din" which won in the "Best Track" category of the 2015 Q Awards.
