Marley Marl is an American DJ, rapper, record producer, and record label owner from Queens, New York.
He released his debut album, "In Control, Volume 1" in 1988, followed by: "In Control Volume II (For Your Steering Pleasure)" (1991), "Hip-Hop Dictionary" (2000), plus 2001's: "Re-Entry".
He had a long-running rivalry with KRS-One/ BDP until producing the 2007 KRS-One album, "Hip Hop Lives".
