Bernard John Taupin is a CBE-awarded, English-American songwriter, lyricist and visual artist, best known for his long-term songwriting collaboration with musician, Elton John. That songwriting partnership is one of the most successful in history, with Taupin writing the lyrics to most of Elton John's songs.

He released the autobiography, "Scattershot: Life, Music, Elton and Me" in 2023.
