American pop superstar [1958 - 2009] who was known as the 'The King of Pop'.

Jackson's career began as a young teenager with his brothers (as part of The Jacksons), recording huge global hits including 'ABC' and 'Can You Feel It'.

Michael Jackson launched a solo career in the 1970s, going on to release phenomenally successful albums including 'Off the Wall', 'Thriller', 'Bad' and 'Dangerous'.

Despite some personal controversies in later life, Jackson gave the world some of pop's most memorable moments including popularizing the 'moonwalk', re-inventing the video promo (with John Landis) for his single 'Thriller' and breaking countless sales records. To date, he has sold more than 750 million records worldwide.
