British jazz musician, composer, and tenor saxophone player, originally from Liverpool.

Whitehead played with the big band Loose Tubes, has toured with award-winning Italian pianist Giovanni Mirabassi and enjoyed many other high profile collaborations.

In 2009 he became the first ever musician Artist in Residence at Tate Britain.
