  • Annual festival of folk and world music and traditional dance held in Shrewsbury over the August bank holiday weekend.

    Formerly the Bridgnorth Folk Festival, the event moved to Shrewsbury in 2006.

    The 2017 festival featured Eric Bibb, Jim Moray's Upcetera Ensemble, Loudon Wainwright III, Sam Carter, Chris Difford, Jamie Smith's Mabon, Andy Fairweather Low and the Low Riders, Alma, Cara, Chris Quinn, Chris While and Julie Matthews, Coven (Lady Maisery, O'Hooley & Tidow, and Grace Petrie), Daphne's Flight, Faith, Folk and Anarchy - Martyn Joseph, Steve Knightley and Tom Robinson, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, Greg Russell (solo), Harare, Jamie Huddlestone, Jimmy Aldridge and Sid Goldsmith, Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, John Kirkpatrick, Jon Boden, Le Vent Du Nord, Mark Tchanz, Maz O'Connor, Mick Ryan and Paul Downes, Moirai, Na-Mara, National Youth Folk Ensemble, Ragged Union, Roaring Trowmen, Oysterband, Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys, Sarah Jarosz, Seth Lakeman, Skipinnish, The East Pointers, The Fitzgeralds, The Rheingans Sisters, The Transports, The Unthanks, The Wilsons, The Young'uns and Wood, Wire and Words.
