[1944 -2014] Joe Cocker was a Sheffield-based blues, soul and rock singer whose earlier repertoire included cover versions - "With A Little Help From My Friends", "I Shall Be Released" and "Delta Lady" being three of them.

He hit the pop big-time with the song "Up Where We Belong", a duet with Jennifer Warnes.

Cocker often experienced resurgences in his career - 1994's album "Have a Little Faith" spawned several minor hit singles in the UK, Germany and Holland.
