Highlights of live events and club-nights taking place on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and beyond
Well, that's it for another year! We hope you all have a wonderful 2014 and managed to see-in the new year in style.
Below is what you could have done (in case you missed it)...
announced an autumn "Warriors Dance" tour for Manchester and Bournemouth earlier in the year, with London fans thinking: "what about us?". Well, now they've answered that question and will head-up a massive NYE party at the O2 Arena which will also feature Rudimental, Jaguar Skills, DJ Slipmatt and Modestep. Seated tickets only available, costing £65 + fees, with limited level 4 tickets available for £20.14 + fees.
is back for another massive NYE party at Scala in King's Cross. This year's event will feature Uncle Dugs, DJ Storm (Metalheadz), DJ Slipmatt, Ratpack, DJ Billy Daniel Bunter, DJ Fabio, Grooverider, Nicky Blackmarket, Mr C and many more. Final release tickets cost 25.
vs Ultimate Power. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a curl in your locks, two very different club-nights will join forces at The Forum on NYE to bring you the ripest cheese and hairiest heaviest metal on one bill. Tickets cost from £20 upwards.

Further down the road, Islington's Academy will also be hosting a similar clash of cultures starring in-house club-nights devoted to cheese and indie-pop and alt-rock. Early Bird tickets cost from £16 plus fees (full price rises to £25).
KOKO in Camden is once again hosting a huge NYE party that includes a line-up yet to be announced but sure to dazzle. Ticket prices are £15 upwards.
The Cuban Brothers
Grab yourself from comedic hip-hop and funk at Camden's Jazz cafe on NYE when it'll be all about the beats. Dan le Sac will also appear and tickets are on sale now for £39.50 upwards.
Chaz Royal's New Year's Eve Masquerade
offers you something a little bit different. For those not in the know, Chaz is the man behind the World Burlesque Games (taking place in the autumn) and also the London Burlesque Festival. Taking place at Kensington's Gore Hotel, the night promises "a selection of sensual and enticing Cabaret and walk about performances". Tickets cost £20.
heads-up the 100% House night at Hidden in Vauxhall which will feature three raves across three arches, with Kiss FM's plus Adam Cotier, Sy Sez, Playtime Productions, Funk Butcher and many more. Tickets cost £10 for limited "saver" tickets, rising to £15 and then £20 when each of those has sold out.
The Kisstory NYE celebrations will kick off at the Indig02 with at the controls, alongside Shortee Blitz and more to be announced. £37 for standard or £57 for VIP, tickets are on sale now.
has a busy NYE, playing Portsmouth (see the "Defected in the House" entry, below) and Slide and Get Diverted's NYE bash at The Prince of Wales in Brixton, with Casio Social Club, Elijah Collins, Rob Alldritt, Rich Smith, Lloyd Wakeman, Justin Steel, Dave Vincent and Katy Lucas across the venue. Tickets cost £30 or £15 for 3AM entry.
The Selecter, featuring Pauline Black and Gaps Hendrickson play Goldsmiths Students' Union in New Cross for a New Year's Eve special, with an after-party back at the New Cross Inn just down the road, with 2Tone, ska and reggae DJs from 11PM until the wee small hours. Tickets cost £20 for the gig + after-party.
The Doctor's Orders
present their New Year's bash at Duke's in Aldgate, featuring a four hour set from deck-masters The Nextmen, plus Foreign Beggars' DJ Nonames, DJ Spin Doctor, Chris P Cuts, Mo Fingaz, a live PA from beat-boxer Hobbit and your host MC Prankster. Early-bird tickets have flown, with standard tickets costing £20.
- the Circo Loco DJ heads-up the Warehouse LDM NYE bash, also featuring Gardy, Sinuous, Jaxx, Ben Cain and more from 9PM to 6AM. Early-bird tickets are sold out, with standards costing £25 + fees.
are hosting their NYE spectacular at the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane, featuring DJ sets from Carl Barât and Reverend and the Makers' Jon McClure plus The Rifles (live acoustic), The Dirty Rivers, IC1s and Maggot from Goldie Lookin' Chain on the decks. The whole thing runs from 8PM until 4AM, costing £20.
Manchester's Albert Hall presents a Hacienda NYE with house legends Frankie Knuckles, Todd Terry, Marshall Jefferson, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, 808 State plus Bez and Rowetta from the Happy Mondays. The last few tickets cost £39.50 + fees.
The Hacienda legend returns to his previous spiritual home by performing at the Northern Quarter venue 2022HQ as part of its NYE night. Disco Mums and Chips With Everything will also appear and the first lucky 100 ticket buyers can expect to pay just £5 (plus small fee) to get in. The price will rise as further batches of tickets get released.
The Warehouse Project
So big and dependable have events become that first release tickets sold out to this event well before the line-up was announced. And what a line-up! Annie Mac, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (DJ set), Andy C, DJ Redlight, Tensnake, Sasha, James Zabiela and many more will take over proceedings across three rooms. Face value tickets now sold out.
At the city's Bowlers Exhibition Centre, you can have it very large with Fantazia and a host of stars including 808 State - DJ Set, Rob Tissera, DJ Slipmatt, DJ Billy Daniel Bunter, Nicky Blackmarket and Jumpin Jack Frost. On sale now for £32.50.
will "Keep it Unreal" at Band On The Wall for their NYE special, featuring "a vinyl melting pot of jazz, soul, hip hop, funk, disco, deep house, reggae, dubstep, afrobeat, latin, electrofunk and plenty of goodies that don't fit into any category". Tickets cost £25.
At Gatecrasher in Birmingham, something BIG will stir for NYE and it includes the chart-hugging plus Ben Westbeech, Danny Howard, Hannah Wants, Friend Within, NO_ID and more appearing for the princely sum of £25.
presents Seven, curated by the teams from Global Gathering, Godskitchen, Seedy Sonics and Ec-lectricity and held at the Institute in the city, Seven draws together the very best in electronic dance music. The line-up includes Rudimental - DJ Set, Annie Mac and more. Final release tickets cost £39.50.
NYE will feature Bondax, T.Williams, DJ Hype, Zed Bias, Fred V and Grafix, Addison Groove, DJ Die, New York Transit Authority, My Nu Leng and more at Motion in Bristol. The last few tickets cost £35 plus fees.
The steam-folk ensemble will provide what promises to be the ideal New Year's Eve party at the city's Colston Hall alongside Spiro and Brass Roots. Tickets now sold out
Defected in the House
NYE in Portsmouth is set to be very special indeed with house-legend Derrick Carter on the decks for the big moment, as well as Nick Curly, Andy Daniell and Sonny Fodera in tow. Tickets cost from £25 for Early Birds (£50 thereafter).
plays the O2 Academy in Bournemouth for a "One Nation New Years Eve", featuring MC Skibadee, Criss Criss, Harry Shotta, Shadow Demon Coalition, Sub Zero and many more. Tickets cost £25 or £30 for VIP.

Glasgow, prepare yourself for a STREETrave on NYE from the lords of the Hacienda back in the day, house outfit who will play a live set at SWG3, supported by DJs. Tickets are on sale now priced at £20 upwards.
play a massive night at Glasgow's Oran Mor, with the - now - four piece playing NYE as the finale to their "and Friends" December Scottish tour. Tickets cost £29.
head-up the Wee Dub Hogmanay at Edinburgh's Caves, featuring Greg Dread, MC Spee and Earl 16 and more. Tickets cost £24.
NYE party takes place at Shanghai Club in Edinburgh. Tickets cost £20 + fees.
If you're in Glasgow for Hogmanay celebrations then head to Oran Mor for their annual shindig, starring DJ Bobby Bluebell at their Club O event from 10PM until the wee small hours. Tickets cost from £15 upwards.
Sleepin is Cheatin
celebrate NYE at Mission in Leeds, with a house special, featuring Dale Castell, Alex Simmons, Stuart Robinson, Graham Dixon, Phil White, Nicki Myers and more. Tickets cost £20 or £40 for VIPs.
heads-up the SWITCH. NYE bash at the Oxford O2 Academy from 10PM 'till late, with tickets costing just £12.
Chase and Status
plus MC Rage head to TFM Soundworks in Middlesbrough to see in the new year with a bang. Catch the chart-toppers for £25 - expect high demand for tickets!
present Oxide & Neutrino, Mikee B, Pied Piper, Jason Kaye and MC Kie at the Brunel Rooms in Swindon from 9PM until 5AM. Tickets cost just £10!
Lovers of covers should head to the Holmfirth Picturehouse on NYE for two classic rock acts from different decades. represent the best of '70s Brit-rock, while The Guns N' Roses Experience bring the '80s to Yorkshire. From £20.
New Year's Day

- the Manchester behemoth will close-out their 2013 season with a massive NYD party, featuring Jamie Jones, Carl Craig, Dixon, Âme, Maceo Plex, Ben UFO, Joy Orbison, The Martinez Brothers, Davide Squillace, Ben Westbeech, Skream, Jackmaster, DJ Oneman, George Fitzgerald, Subb-an, Zutekh, Krystal Klear, Krysko, Crazy P, Greg Lord and more. Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex, Heidi, Tini and Martin Buttrich head-up "New Year's Day at Tobacco Dock", playing the Wapping venue from 2PM until midnight. First and second releas tickets are now sold out, with the remaining third/ fourth release costing £35/ £39.50.
Frantic [club] bring some banging hard-house tunes to the dancefloor at Lambeth's Hidden for their NYD event which will feature 10 hours of trance, hard house and hard trance. Full ine-up to be announced. Third release tickets cost £10.
