Album Review

David Soul made a name for himself in the 70's with countless high profile TV and movie appearances which included roles in Star Trek, Magnum Force and of course the legendry Starsky & Hutch. It was at this time that Soul experimented with a singing career, thanks to significant media exposure it spurned three albums in the 70's and to those who remember, hits like 'Don't Give Up On Us' and 'Silver Lady'. Unfortunately Soul fell into relative obscurity for much of the 80's rising like a phoenix from the flames in the 90's with success on this side of the pond forging a new career on the West End stage.

Now a British citizen, still performing on stage and conducting on the BBC's 'Maestro', David Soul finds himself in reflective mood choosing the aptly titled 'Looking Back - The Very Best Of' as the perfect package to bring together a retrospection collection of tracks from five albums that have spanned the last thirty years. Including a new recording of the song 'Don't Give Up On Us', arranged and recorded with Cuba's number one top selling band Buena Fe, (now available as a single), this reflective episode marks a defining point in what has been an emotional journey thus far.
