American alt-country singer songwriter from Oregon.

As well as solo works, he has recorded as She & Him (with actress Zooey Deschanel), Bright Eyes and the alt-pop/folk supergroup Monsters Of Folk.

He released his debut album, "Duet for Guitars #2" in 1999, followed by: "Live Music & The Voice of Strangers" (2001), "End of Amnesia" (2001), "Transfiguration of Vincent" (2003), "Transistor Radio" (2005), "Post-War" (2006), "Hold Time" (2009), "A Wasteland Companion" (2012), "More Rain" (2016), "What a Wonderful Industry" (2018), plus "Migration Stories" and "Think of Spring" (both 2020).
