Vanessa Lee Carlton is an American singer-songwriter and pianist from Nashville.

She released her debut single, "A Thousand Miles" in 2002, which was a worldwide top 10 hit, taken from her debut multi-platinum-selling album, "Be Not Nobody", released in 2002. "A Thousand Miles" also memorably featured in the 2004 film, "White Chicks".

Other albums include: "Harmonium" (2004), "Heroes & Thieves" (2007), "Rabbits on the Run" (2011) and 2015's "Liberman".
