Newcastle-based folk musician and singer who is monickered, "The Newcastle Fiddle-Player". He began playing in the early 70s.

He was awarded Musician Of The Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2009.

He has performed with Magna Carta and Sean Lakeman.
