The Osmonds

Successful 70s American family pop-band which featured Alan Ralph Osmond, Merrill Davis Osmond, Jay Wesley Osmond, Donald Clark "Donny" Osmond, Olive Marie Osmond and James Arthur "Jimmy" Osmond. The original vocal ensemble (a barbershop quartet) were conceived in the late '50s, although their peak period was the '70s.

Hits include "Crazy Horses", "Let Me In", "Love Me For a Reason" and "The Proud One".

They released their debut album, "Osmonds" in 1970, followed by: "Homemade" (1971), "Crazy Horses" (1972), "Phase III" (1972), "The Plan" (1973), "Love Me for a Reason" (1974), "The Proud One" (1975), "Osmond Christmas Album" (1976), "Brainstorm" (1976), plus 1979's: "Steppin' Out".

Founder member, Melvin Wayne Osmond passed away in 2024.
