Mike Rutherford is an English musician and founder member of Genesis with whom he plays/ has played bass, guitar and sings backing vocals.

Mike has also recorded as a solo artist ('Smallcreep's Day' and 'Acting Very Strange') and formed the band Mike + the Mechanics in 1985.
