The Madness of George III

The Madness of George III

"A 1991 fictionalised biographical play about King George III by Alan Bennett. It tells the latter half of the reign, his battle with mental illness and the inability of his court to handle his condition.

In spite of all this, he is best-remembered today for his bouts of unbridled lunacy when it seemed that the future of the very monarchy was at stake."
