Shabazz Palaces are an American alternative Hip Hop duo from Seattle, featuring rapper Ishmael 'Butterfly' Butler, formerly of Grammy-winning hip-hop act Digable Planets and musician Tendai "Baba" Maraire (from WOKE, also featuring Ishmael).

The debut album (as Shabazz Palaces) was 2011's 'Black Up', followed by "Lese Majesty" in 2014, "Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines" (2017), "Quazarz: Born on a Gangster Star" (2017), "The Don of Diamond Dreams" (2020), "Illusions Ago" (2023, with Lavarr the Starr), plus: "Robed in Rareness" (also 2023).
