[1927 - 2025] Dame Cleo Laine was a Jazz vocalist and wife of the jazz-composer Johnny Dankworth, the mother of bassist Alec Dankworth and singer Jacqui Dankworth.
Her scat and be-bop style has been recorded for over 50 years on over 100 albums.
Key albums include: "Shakespeare and All That Jazz" (1964), "Best Of Friends" (with John Williams - 1978) and "Sometimes When We Touch" (with James Galway - 1980).
She also recorded a few albums with her husband inc 1972's "An Evening With..."
