She co-wrote a lot of songs for Patrice Rushen in the 70's including "Didn't You Know?" and "Let The Music Take Me" before writing the hits "Groove Thang" (Zhane 1994) and tracks with Rushen on the "Hollywood Shuffle" soundtrack.
