The Mercury Prize, formerly known as the "Mercury Music Prize", is an annual music prize established in 1992, awarded to the best album from the United Kingdom and Ireland. The 2025 ceremony will be hosted in Newcastle, the first time outside of London. Shortlist announced in September.
The 2024 winner was: English Teacher - This Could Be Texas.
