Independent label founded in 1983 by James Nice.

Initially starting as a cassette-only archive label, it progressed to recovering catalogue by some Factory, New Hormones, post-punk and also some 'art' releases.

New recordings by A Certain Ratio, Section 25 and The Wake have also been released.

The label released the DVD documentary "Shadowplayers" in 2006, with Nice finally publishing the same-name book in 2010.
