Guitarist and song-writer from Edinburgh, who began his musical life with Josef K (feat Paul Haig) before joining another Postcard band, Orange Juice (feat Edwyn Collins) in the early 80s and finally yet another Postcard outfit, Roddy Frame's Aztec Camera.

Subsequent collaborations included Barry Adamson, Nectarine no9, Paul Haig and Momus, as well as further Edwyn Collins solo works and the film "Backbeat" (as a consultant).

Apart from two solo albums on German boutique-label Marina, he has co-formed The Low Miffs in 2009.
