The Mavericks

Award-winning American country-rock band founded in 1989 and reformed in 2012 after splitting in 2003.

Band members include Paul Deakin - drums, Eddie Perez - guitar/ vocals, and Jerry Dale McFadden - keyboards/ vocals. Founder member, vocalist Raul Malo passed away in 2025.

Most of their success was initially confined to the US but in 1998, both sides of the Atlantic saw "Dance The Night Away" become a hit.

They released their debut album, "The Mavericks" in 1990, followed by: "From Hell to Paradise" (1992), "What a Crying Shame" (1994), "Music for All Occasions" (1995), "Trampoline" (1998), "The Mavericks" (2003), "In Time" (2013), "Mono" (2015), "Brand New Day" (2017), "Hey! Merry Christmas!" (2018), "Play the Hits" (2019), "En Español" (2020), plus 2024's: "Moon & Stars".
