Pink Floyd
Hugely-influential English psychedelic-rock and prog-rock band formed in 1965, split in 1996 and reunited in 2005, occasionally threatening to reunite again despite diminishing numbers.
Key members are/were Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason, Bob Klose and the late Rick Wright.
Their landmark albums include "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn", "Wish You Were Here", "The Wall" and the multi-million-selling "Dark Side Of The Moon".
Their "The Wall" album has been recreated 'live' by Roger Waters in recent years, while David Gilmour has released occasional solo-albums (as well as Waters).
