The Week Ahead: Kendal Calling, Global Gathering, Taj Mahal, Wu-Tang Clan, Midnight Tango and more

Posted: 10 years ago
The week ahead from Monday 22nd July 2013 also includes: Rewind Scotland, James Rhodes, Anvil, Senser, Justin Live, Ennio Morricone, Six by Seven, Burnout Festival, Lemuria and more

There are handfuls of music (and comedy) festivals scattered across the UK and Ireland during the coming week, including Kendal Calling, Global Gathering, Bournemouth's Burnout Festival and more - hurry as many people will start thinking about going to these as time passes.

Some superb gigs are looming - a rare treat for London blues fans as Taj Mahal takes to the stage at the apt Under the Bridge (near the Blues' Stamford Bridge stadium, no less). Wu-Tang Clan will lend some heavyweight 20th anniversary hip-hop bangers on tour, plus there's shows from classical luminary James Rhodes, established rockers Anvil and Uli Jon Roth and master-composer Ennio Morricone.

Your kids will be delighted to learn of Justin Live and Milkshake Live shows taking place in the coming weeks while the grown-ups can see some Shakespeare in his hometown or shake a leg to Midnight Tango.

All prices are exclusive of booking fees.
