Album Review

Described as Ryan Adams meets Tom Petty at a Barenaked Ladies concert, you cant help but be somewhat intrigued by what this American singer/songwriter has to offer. Songs I Know the Words to makes it clear why Dale has gained 8 San Diego Music Award nominations. He may not write the most complex songs, but each of the 10 tracks on this latest solo piece, provide happy, feel-good melodies, each one being quite the pleasure to listen to.

Album opener Hilary immediately strikes you as a song that McFly could have once released; overly energetic with quite comical lyrics; The one that I know all the lyrics to, that sticks in my head like super glue." While Addicted is yet another 3 minutes of our lives gone, where we hear someone singing about love and heartbreak. But Dale manages to keep it up beat and likeable. If you were to sum up Christopher Dale in one word, it would be infectious, and I doubt it will be long before more people have caught onto his charm.
