Single Review

The latest single from the Essex quartet States Of Emotion shows off all the good things that they possess in their musical locker. The music is again perfectly performed by a group that are so in sync that they can almost make a good sound from toy instruments. It has the feel of pre Britpop guitar music and the guitar/ vocal combo certainly has a little feel of the Squire/ Brown style to it. It is good solid verse/ chorus music with no real lulls and plenty of energy.

They may not have a special draw like a showman lead singer or top level consistency that may make them a superstar band but they are certainly one of the better guitar bands in the UK. In ways this single perfectly encapsulates the whole story of this band. They deserve to be far bigger than they are but for now they remain unsung. Help them out by getting this top single.
