Indie Disco three piece make a welcome return to the airwaves in 2010 with yet another top quality single, The Rain. The song demonstrates their ability to make a modern sounding indie pop song with elements of classic 90s dance. It's like a wonderful cross between The Killers and Robert Miles. A lot of the atmosphere is down to the dance track, a piece of energetic synth that has an almost ethereal feel to it. The vocals from Dave Merry are a perfect complement to the music and the three and a half minutes whiz by. It is as accomplished a piece of dance music as you are likely to hear all year.
The two other tracks, Ghosts and Jigsaw are also hugely enjoyable and excellently executed pieces of disco pop. This single is one I can heartily recommend without even needing to think. A top release from an ever improving group.
