Fighting Fiction have come back swinging with their latest release, the single We Will Not Forget. From start to finish it is an impassioned, vitriolic punk diatribe against the failings of the political system and a call to arms for a change in the running of government. It is a meaty subject matter that needs a solid backbone and thankfully it delivers this with a white hot grass roots punk set up. The song hurtles by at breakneck speed as the lyrics are spat out with real venom. It's with songs like this where you really can what bands practice what they preach. The lyrics are so strong that they really put what is a strong piece of music firmly in the background.
In essence they remind me of another great modern punk band, Crazy Arm and the UK music scene is a better place for having bands like this still spilling their guts into each recording they make. A staggering piece of political polemic that is nigh on impossible to get out of your head after you hear it.
