Single Review

Currently riding a wave of popularity and critical acclaim, Sarah Blasko has relocated to London to promote her name even more and one things for sure; this single will do absolutely no harm in achieving that goal.

The song is a strange piece of music for a modern pop song. It sounds as if it could be part of the soundtrack to one of Sergio Leones Spaghetti Westerns with its mournful and sparse acoustics and lilting strings. It is a bold song but as soon as Blaskos vocals come in then everything joins together and makes perfect sense. Her vocal is at times a beautiful whisper, very open and raw but she never loses her focus. She dominates the song with a strong performance and there is no doubting she has an original song that grabs the listener in a different way to most vocals. Its a very strong single that will be a great starting block to a hopefully successful stint over here.
